The "Yellow Train" (Train Jeune) is fun way to appreciate the scenery of the Catalan
district of 'Roussillon'. Approx. 2hrs from our B&B, the electrified narrow-gauge line
extends 63km part way between Perpignan & Andorra. It is France’s highest section of SNCF rail track
(climbing from 415 to 1,590 metres) and uses a third rail similar to the London Underground.
In summer, special open carriages make it easier to photograph the impressive Pyrenean landscape.
